LOWER SCHOOL INFANTS

Nursery & Prep Classes   In the Nursery and Prep classes, the children learn to work and play together, providing them with a solid foundation in social skills. Prep and Transition Classes   In the Prep and Transition classes the children learn the basics of number and letter recognition, soon progressing to more formal reading, writing and number work.   Every child is encouraged to participate in group activities as preparation for more formal lessons.   The teaching for years 1 and 2 incorporates all of the National Curriculum subjects and additionally offers French, Spanish, music, drama and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) taught as seperate subjects. In these two classes pupils are taught by specialist teachers for some subjects.
