As well as the core National Curriculum subjects, pupils in years 3 to 6 also study French, Spanish music and drama. At Dale House Religious Education as well as Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education (PSHCE) are taught as separate subjects.

Academic studies are brought to life by experiencing a good range of educational visits to museums, theatres and places of historical interest, which pupils enjoy greatly, and also through links with the local community. Homework is usually set each day and also over the weekend.

The majority of pupils participate in the optional activities such as dance and musical instrument tuition. Dale House also has many thriving clubs including sports, choir, Spanish, art, drama, recorder, homework and computer club. Our football club is run by a fully qualified sports coach.

Our aim is to support and develop the potential of each child as an individual. Dale House pupils have demonstrated success in the passing of their SATs as well as entrance exams to local public schools. Also, pupils who leave us to join state schools at 11 years old enjoy great success in their future academic studies. The pupils are very well prepared for the next stage of their education, as indicated by their results, confidence and self esteem.
