Dale House is a small Independent Pre-Preparatory School and Nursery for boys and girls aged between 2 and 11 years of age. We pride ourselves in providing a private day nursery that meets the needs of the child and parent.
Pupils are accepted into the Nursery (age 2 – 3 years) on the understanding that they will enter the full time Prep class aged 3 years, in readiness to enter school in the Transition (Reception) Class aged 4 years (birthdays by 31st August each year).
Our Nursery classes (Nursery and Prep) can cater for up to 20 children between the ages of 2 years and 4 years.
Dale House is registered with the DfE, Ofsted, and the Independent School Inspectorate (I.S.I.).
All staff in the school are:
- Qualified Teachers
- Qualified Nursery Nurses, many of whom are graduates Levels 3 to 6
- Qualified Play Workers Levels 1 – 3
- Trained Classroom Assistants Level 3
- First Aid Trained
- Child Protection Trained / Safeguarding
- DBS Checked
-and all are dedicated to maintaining high standards of childcare and education.
Dale House Nursery classes are Quality Assured by and Affiliated to the Kirklees Early Years Service.
Kirklees have awarded the School and Nursery with:
- 5 Star Hygiene Certificate
- Gold Healthy Choice Award
The Nursery was awarded top marks with a Level 3 Quality Practice Award which is the highest given under the Quality Assurance Scheme.
In October 2013, the Independent School Inspectorate (I.S.I.) Inspection Team visited our Early Years provision and reported that Dale House Nursery was Outstanding in all areas, that the progress made by each child under the age of 5 was considered to be very impressive, and that the children’s personal, social and emotional development is fostered well through their interaction with very caring and supportive staff.
