WC 23/10/23

The children in Upper Prep III/IV continue to work hard in all their lessons. I have seen fantastic progress in our swimming lessons - keep it up everyone! Remember to arrive early on Thursday as the bus leaves at 8:55am.

In Maths, we have moved on to 'Time'. We are practising reading the time to the nearest 5 and 1 minute, from analogue and digital clocks, 12-hour and 24-hour. In English, we are working on our Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar skills, focusing on developing our vocabulary and sentence structure.  In History, we have enjoyed learning about Tutankhamun and found the mummification process fascinating!

In our Music lessons, we are learning to play the recorders. On Wednesday, we began practising 'We wish you a merry Christmas', I was really impressed with how quickly the children picked it up! Here is the link if you would like to practise more at home:

This week our class trophy went to AA for working really hard to improve her reading skills. Well done!

Remember, to practise your spellings, times tables and complete your homework every night. It is important that we always try our best!

A great week everyone, keep it up!

WC 27/9/23

This week the children have enjoyed all of their lessons. In English, we have been designing and planning a healthy food advertisement. In Maths, we are working hard on written methods for all four operations. We have enjoyed learning about the digestive system in Science, and we are looking forward to our experiment on Friday - photographs to follow! The children have been working on their research skills in Geography (UK Rivers & Seas) and in Religious Education, finding out about Catholicism. Keep it up everyone!
